Get to know me!
Hey, I’m Paddy. I’m 26 and living out in Far West NSW.
I grew up playing sport pretty much my whole life, but in 2020 I went through a bit of a tough time figuring out my personal sexual identity.
It really affected my mental health, especially being in a pretty male-dominated sporting environment back home.
I ended up stepping away from sport for a while, put on weight, and honestly just wasn’t in a great headspace with who I was.
I knew I needed to change something, I just didn’t really know what that looked like at the time.
That’s when I started running.
At the start it was just something simple to get me moving again, but pretty quickly it became a lot more than that.
It gave me space to switch off, rebuild my routine, and slowly start feeling like myself again without all the pressure.
In 2024 I signed up for my first half marathon, and I also got involved in Movember with my local run club, which meant a lot to me — especially around men’s mental health.
Since then I’ve found my way back into sport and now co-host a community-based run club, which has been huge for me.
My purpose
My purpose for building PA Endurance Coaching is to help people rebuild structure and confidence through running, the same way I had to.
From running your first 5km through to a marathon, I want to help people build that connection and unlock what they’re capable of.
